Beginning January 1, 2010, Carrier is introducing a 10-year parts limited warranty to the original registered purchasing homeowner on base model products. Now the entire family of Infinity, Performance, Comfort and base model furnaces, split systems with Puron refrigerant and small package products with Puron refrigerant carry this warranty.
Homeowners in California do not need to register the product to take advantage of the warranty, but proof of purchase may be required at the time of service. Outside of California, Homeowners should register online at www.carrier.com within 90 days homeowner purchase. Warranties are transferable to subsequent homeowners upon timely registration and payment of a $50 administration fee. Products not registered within 90 days of purchase will carry only the 5-year parts limited warranty for the original and/or subsequent owners from the time of installation.
Ten-year Carrier warranties apply only on product installed in a single-family residential application.
